Protest against India

The promulgation of new constitution in Nepal marks the successful completion of the main stage of addressing the consequences of the decade-long conflict in Nepal, says a statement released by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Mentioning that the Constituent Assembly’s approval of the constitution was a product of a lengthy process, the statement says that the statute, which fulfills the standards required of such a document, is the primary condition to ensure stability and strengthen Nepal’s sovereignty.

“The approval of the fundamental law, which fully meets generally accepted standards, is the most important condition for stability and strengthening the unity of Nepal as a sovereign democratic state,” it reads.

The statement also expresses its willingness to increase cooperation with Nepal.
