Nepal got a chance to have enough petroleum from Qatar eight years ago
Due to failure in cash payback of petroleum products to Indian Oil Corporation(IOC),Nepal was deprived of getting Oil from India in 2008.Shortage and difficulties was critical and alternative was Qatar. But due to Nepal's foolishness, agreement couldn't happen. In 3rd September,2008 official meeting with by then Energy Minister of Qatar "Abdullah Bin hamad Al Attiyah"had been conducted about importing petroleum to Nepal.
"Nepalese worker has important role in making Qatar so beautiful and developed,so Qatar is ready to give enough amount of petroleum to Nepal",former Nepali Ambassador Suryanath Mishra said.
Without increasing any price and with full support Qatar was ready to help Nepal that time but
Ministry of Foreign Affairs,Nepal did not respond to that proposal,Kantipur Newspaper states.
